The 2020 Cadillac XT6
Cadillac has really made a statement this year with its new 2020 Cadillac XT6 three-row crossover. The XT6 is lighter, more nimble than many SUV's and has all the luxury Cadillac is famous for. There are two trims, Platinum and Sport, and those give you the option of leaning a little more to luxury or to sports, depending on your tastes. Even so, both are luxurious and both are solid performers on the road. The third row is roomy enough for adults to sit comfortably. The exterior is modest and elegant. It delivers luxury and good enough performance when you are hauling a group of people. Read on to learn more about the spacious and luxurious Cadillac XT6.
The XT6 is powered by a 3.6-liter V6 that puts out 310 horsepower. It has all-wheel drive and the engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The sport version has specially tuned steering and a torque-vectoring differential. The Sport trim also has a different steering ratio. It has a blacked-out exterior trim as well. The Sport trim comes with All-wheel drive. Front-wheel drive is standard on the Premium trim, but all-wheel drive is available as an option. The vehicle rides on 20-inch wheels, and the sport model has 21-inch wheels as an option. Both trims come loaded with performance extras. It has low-speed forward emergency braking, parking assist, lane keep assist, and automatic high beams all as standard equipment. The EPA rates this car with 18 MPG in city driving and 25 MPG on the highway.
The standard package is impressive, and there are packages you can add to make it even better. An optional driver-assist package includes adaptive cruise control, automatic seatbelt tightening, blind-spot monitoring, and enhanced automatic braking. Another special package gives automatic parking assist, high-def surround vision camera, and a rear-camera mirror. The optional night-vision camera uses an infrared screen to highlight pedestrians and animals. This camera also offers a wide-angle view that is different than the normal mirrors.
The XT6 is all about features that are intuitive, functional and versatile. The XT6 has an infotainment system that can supports smartphone integration. There is a Wi- Fi hotspot and plenty of USB ports in all seats. The infotainment system is centered around an intuitive 8-inch touchscreen. It has a rotary knob selector for that system, and the screen responds to touch, giving you a choice on how you want to interact. The seats also fold down when you need to haul cargo instead of people. You may fold down the second or third row, or both for maximum space. There is even a towing package available for hauling a trailer or small boat.
The XT6 is a large luxurious car but it is not as expensive as some cars in this class. The base model, which is the premium trim, starts at $52,000. If you load that trim up with a lot of extras it will go to about $55,000. Finally, a fully loaded Sport model with all the extras will go for just a little more than $57,000. Some Cadillac dealers are even offering 0.00 percent interest financing.
